Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a song?

Tap the + button in the Song Library tab. Enter the song title, artist, and paste your lyrics. Stage Proof will automatically detect sections like Verse, Chorus, and Bridge.

How does Practice Mode work?

Practice Mode uses active recall to help you memorize lyrics. You'll see a prompt (the previous line or section header), try to recall the next line, then reveal it and rate how well you did. Lines you struggle with are highlighted so you can focus on them.

What are the Performance View modes?

Performance View has three display modes: Full shows all lyrics with chords, Cues shows only the first line of each section as a memory aid, and Sections shows section headers only for a minimal on-stage reference.

How do I create a gig setlist?

Go to the Gigs tab and tap + to create a new gig. Give it a name and date, then add songs from your library. You can reorder songs and perform them in sequence during your gig.

Is my data backed up?

Stage Proof stores all data locally on your device. If you have iCloud backup enabled for your device, your app data will be included in your device backups.

How do I delete a song?

In the Song Library, swipe left on a song to reveal the delete option. You can also delete a song from its detail page.
